Hello, my name is Khalil Barfield-Toney. I am a current student here at Elizabeth City State University and I really want to graduate here at ECSU. I never in my life thought that I would or could be eligible for any scholarship because I sincerely believed that could never be qualified for such an award and in the past I previously paid to go to school, which is different from my current college and I know the struggle of trying to maintain top tier grades or even average grades and getting up everyday to go to a low paying job just to make ends meet financially. Since then I've improved but not just as a student but as a young African-American adult and I'm willing to take advantage of the opportunities that I have before me and today this is one of those opportunities.

Hello, My name is Heather Straka. I have applied for FAFSA, however I did not receive any assistance for college. I have been accepted to the University of Mount Olive. I have my Associate's of Applied Sciences in Early Childhood education. My goal is to receive my Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood education and to become a teacher for young children. My name is Eileen. I’m a senior in high school. I got accepted to WCU. I applied for my fafsa. I recently received my status on my application. My grant isn’t enough to cover my first year so I need to take out loans to cover my expenses. Since the six grade I’ve wanted to become a nurse. I have already filled out my fafsa, but it may not cover everything, I am the child of a single mother who is disabled I need every scholarship that I can get to help me get though college. I am on the football team at Dudley High School here in Greensboro North Carolina, but it doesn't seem like I l am going to get a scholarship for that, this will be a great start. My fafsa was not enough to cover all of my tuition. I work full time just to get by. I would love it if I won, because that would help me out more.
