Awards are based on a combination of academic merit and financial need. Applicants who do not provide current and complete transcripts and financial information documentation, will be disqualified. Applicants can apply for up to two (2) NCJWLA scholarships and reapply every year. Any applicant that submits more than two applications will not be considered for any of NCJWLA scholarship. Once the online application is started, it can be saved and completed from a computer or mobile device.
Funding is made available during the recipients following school term and sent directly to the educational institutions. Applicants must live and attend school in the Greater Los Angeles area, including Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino and Ventura Counties (With the exception of specific scholarships for UNLV students).
All applicants must be currently enrolled in school or admitted to school in order to apply for any scholarship. Students who are completing their degree during the current term are not eligible to apply. Applicants must be a full-time student enrolled in a community college in a Film, Television, Cinema or Theater program. Applicants must be preparing for a career in film, television, or theater production (not acting) and must have completed 12 units of classes in their school's Film/TV/Cinema/Theater program. Must live and attend school in the Greater Los Angeles area, including Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernandino and Ventura Counties.
Please submit personal statement, two letters of recommendation, unofficial current and complete transcripts, enrollment verification for current school, resume and financial information documentation including but not limited to; FAFSA Student Aid Report (SAR) or CA Dream Act for applicable students and/or tax return information.
